HOUNDSTOOTH & Grill Room

Buenas tardes! El pasado domingo, tras acudir a una clase práctica de fotografía y, siguiendo con la ruta de hamburguesas en restaurantes de Barcelona, fuimos a comer al Grill Room, al lado de la Plaza Real. 

Nos dieron mesa en una zona apartada del restaurante, muy íntima y con cristaleras a la calle, todo decorado con mucho encanto. La especialidad son carnes y pescados al grill pero tienen otros platos más informales, como hamburguesas, croquetas y varios tipos de entrantes. Mi hamburguesa, enorme por cierto, estaba realmente buena! Bueno, ya se aprecia en la foto, no?

Luego aprovechamos para pasear por las calles del gótico, bajar un poco la comida y hacer unas fotos! Espero que os gusten! Besos!

Good evening! Last Sunday, after attending a photography class, and following with the hamburger route in Barcelona's restaurants, we went to eat at the Grill Room, next to the Plaza Real. 

They offered us a table in a secluded area of the restaurant, very intimate and with glass doors with street views, all decorated with a lot of charm. Grilled meats and fish are the main courses butthey have more informal dishes, such as burgers, croquettes and several types of incomings. My burger, huge by the way, was really good! Well, you can see it in the photo, right? Hehehhe! 

Then we took advantage of the opportunity to walk through the streets of the gothic area and take some pictures! I hope you like them! Kisses!

MAKA MAKA BEACH BURGUER

Hace meses me decidí a hacer la ruta de la hamburguesa por Barcelona y es impresionante la de nuevos restaurantes que se dedican a cocinar y crear todo tipo de hamburguesas y con todo tipo de ingredientes. 

Cuando iba a la playa solía pasar por delante de un chiringuito que me llamaba la atención y un día me dí cuenta que era una hamburguesería de la cual había oído hablar: Maka Maka Beach Burguer Café. Se encuentra en el paseo Borbón, de camino a la playa de la Barceloneta. La decoración es bastante peculiar, un estilo muy "Los Angeles", con sobredosis de decoración por dentro y mesas altas pegadas a la pared, un curioso baño-cobertizo y varias sillas y mesitas en la terraza. Todo envuelto en un ambiente joven, muy cool y cosmopolita.

La carta no es muy extensa; tienen unas cuantas hamburguesas, incluida una vegetariana, y algunos entrantes y ensaladas. Las hamburguesas están bastante buenas... pero casi vale más la pena por el lugar que por las mismas. Les daría una puntuación de siete. Las patatas fritas también muy correctas, acompañadas de tomate, mayonesa y wasabi. Pero lo que la gente realmente recomienda y volveré para probar algún día son los cocktails.

La verdad es que es recomendable para pasar un día o una velada cerca de la playa y en un ambiente joven y con agradable servicio.

Months ago I decided to do the route of the hamburger in Barcelona and it is impressive how many new burguer restaurants cook and create all kinds of hamburgers in the city!

When I went to the beach used to pass in front of a bar that caught my attention and one day I realized that was a burger which had heard people talking about: the Maka Maka Beach Burguer Cafe. It is located in el Paseo Borbon, on the way to the beach of la Barceloneta. The decoration is rather peculiar, a kind of 'Los Angeles' style, with an overdose of decoration on the inside and high tables attached to the wall, a curious shed-toilettes and several chairs and small tables on the terrace. All wrapped up in a young atmosphere, very cool and cosmopolitan.

The menu is not very extensive; they have a few burgers, including a vegetarian one, and some starters and salads. The burgers are pretty good... but almost worth more going there because of the place than for the burguers themselves. I would give them a score of 7. The fries are also very correct, well, more than correct, accompanied by tomato, mayonnaise and wasabi sauce. But what people actually recommended and I will return to try some day are the cocktails.

The truth is that it is advisable to spend a day or an evening close to the beach and a young atmosphere with friendly service.
